SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Toprak Holding is a group that leads many sectors, and aims at being the leading group of many other sectors in Turkey.

However, it is not enough to consider Toprak Holding merely as an “Industrial Group”.

Toprak Group recognizes importance of culture, art and education in human life, and assumes initiatives in these fields as well.

Since 1991, Toprak Holding has been involved in the field of “Art, Culture, and Education” which teach and remind the unique value of life to the world and humankind, and play the most significant role in formation of new values.

Toprak Holding has contributed to the domestic art initiatives with its art galleries established in Istanbul in 1991, and in Ankara in 1995.

Organized by Toprak Holding based on the principle of ”Respect for Arts” for the purpose of generalizing the love for arts, the exhibitions have soon demonstrated the earnest and consistent approach of Toprak Holding to every one. These events are organized without bearing any interests in mind, and artists are treated with the highest respect and importance.

Such as commemorative exhibitions for deceased artists including Elif Naci, Hamit Görele, Selime Işıtan, Ercüment Kalmık, Abidin Elderoğlu, İhsan Cemal Karaburçak, Edip Hakkı Köseoğlu, and etc.

We include mixed exhibitions in our one-month schedule of exhibition events, while we may state exhibitions of Zeki Kıral, Yaşar Çallı, Kainat Barkan Pajonk, Jale Yılmabaşar, Mine Arasan, Ayhan Türker, Erdinç Bakla, Haluk Tezonar, Kenan Yontaç, Ertuğrul Ateş, and Kristin Galeri as the examples of personal exhibitions during the period of 1991 to 1999.

Meanwhile, we have exhibited the arts and artists in the best manner at our stands established at the art fairs organized each year.

Equipped with a special illumination system, Toprak Art Gallery is seated at an area of 220 square meters at the entrance floor of Toprak Center buildings at Yıldız Avenue, Beşiktaş. This large area facilitates exhibition and viewing of art works.

These initiatives shall continue with new exhibitions. Social exhibitions are also organized in addition to the scheduled exhibition events at the galleries. Attracting a special interest, these exhibition events reflect viewpoint as well as contributions to humankind as well as social life of Toprak Holding in a different perspective.

Exhibition for Aiding Survivors of Erzincan Earthquake, Exhibition for Children with Leukemia, Exhibition for Aiding Street Children, Exhibition of Umut Foundation against Individual Armament, and Exhibition of the Foundation of Social Services

Additionally, exhibitions of Ceramics Department of Anadolu University, Bahçeşehir College, Yüzyıl Işık College, İfsak (Istanbul Photography and Cinema Amateurs Society) Photography Days, organized as a contribution to education, have also been regarded as pioneering activities in the field of cultural activities.

All these initiatives reflect sensitive approach of Toprak Holding toward our people and the World, and give a separate pleasure and pride to Toprak Holding.
